The system detects and tracks low-altitude targets, like helicopters, within the antenna’s vertical beam. It provides a list of required distances and altitudes for safe helicopter approach to the ship.
LPI technology enhances radar stealth by rapidly changing frequencies and using complex, coded pulse patterns with pseudo-random agility. This makes the radar difficult to detect, increasing effectiveness in stealth operations.
